Grant is the founder and CEO of Populist, a nonprofit marketing group bringing marketing methodologies and industry talent to bear on the challenges facing social innovators. Populist helps organizations sell critical products and services to marginalized and underserved populations in the Americas, Africa and Asia.
Grant is also a Senior Strategist at Ogilvy & Mather, the global marketing agency, where he’s worked with clients from IKEA and Coca-Cola to BlackRock and Unilever. He additionally works as a suicide prevention counselor for The Trevor Project, the nation’s leading crisis intervention service for LGBTQ youth; is a member of UNICEF’s working group on demand generation for routine immunizations; and is a contributor to publications including Fast Company, Forbes and the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
Before Madison Avenue, Grant worked in the social sector with PSI, Virtue Ventures and Ashoka. He graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University where he studied International Development and International Economics.
