Mara Abrams is the Founder and CEO of Numara Impact, a social impact studio that blends creativity and innovation to solve the most urgent challenges of today. Her work centers on civic engagement, democracy, and participatory media and research, empowering those most affected by challenges to play a central role in their solutions.

At the age of 24, she co-founded an organization teaching documentary filmmaking and citizen journalism to young people from disadvantaged and war-torn communities. Since then, she has worked with some of the most powerful individuals and institutions in the world to ensure that the voices of young and marginalized people are included at the highest levels of decision-making on the issues that impact their lives.

She led global partnerships for the Nike Foundation and its Girl Effect initiative; founded the first innovation lab within the U.S. Census Bureau in the lead-up to the 2020 Census; served as an advisor to Prince Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation; founded an entrepreneurship program in Cuba; and led responsible tech partnerships for the philanthropic organization Unfinished. She lives in Los Angeles.
